Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

Clickteam.

    Hi all,

I just wanted to publicly thank Clickteam for getting me interested in coding and programming. I've grown a ton in the last 8 years and I give a lot of credit to the learning I did here on these forums and with the users here. I've been inactive for a while but I'm feeling nostalgic so I thought I'd come back and check it out and say thanks. Clickteam, through this community and through Multimedia Fusion 2, helped jumpstart my software development career.

    Thanks!

If you hash passwords with MD5, though, even with salting, you expose your applications and users to hackers. It's better than storing plaintext passwords, that's for sure, but the efficiency of md5 as a deterrent are surprisingly small.

Would it be too much to ask how? Not that I'm in any way disagreeing I just want to understand it better. Security has always been a big mystery to me because there's only so much people can say about it without telling you how to compromise securities. Which isn't what I'm really asking I guess - I'm more just confused why a different hash makes something more secure. Like, is it harder to decrypt? Why? Or are there more collisions?

I guess I should really try researching on my own - I haven't done like any googling even. I'll stop hijacking this thread though. Pm me if you wish to continue

BTW, and after about 3 days with MMF2D all the actions are very easy to use and i'm confused why for open a simple link you need to do all this things.

Yes, i'm a newbie but, Not will be possible something similar like: Create condition -> Button Clicked -> Open Url , then a dialog box appears to set the url to be opened and other to 0=_Blank,etc... Now you need to create 3 conditions, set the button zone,etc... :S . I know that if this is the best option to open urls with flash is because no exists other way to do this but i not understand why.

The reason behind it is due to the Flash platform's handling of events. As a novice AS3 developer, I've learned that in AS3 you have to set "Event Listeners" - something that MMF2 doesn't have to do for its C++ versions. As such, it would be tedious and fruitless to try and rework MMF2 to integrate such event listeners more intuitively and fluently. It is a bit of a pain. From a extension developer standpoint, however, it's the best way to do it.

Wow this is excellent! Well done Matriax!

I was wondering, do the shadows of the bats make the ball bounce?

You could separate the shadow and bat into separate objects, always positioning the shadow at the bat. That would take care of that if it's a problem. I can't actually tell, but it seems fishy.

EDIT: Kisurgi, have you seen this? Please login to see this link.

I'm running a Game Design Club at my school that uses TGF2 NG edition, but it apparently "expired" - does this mean I have an older version? I understand that TGF2 NG edition is free, so why might it be saying it's trial is over? Did my admin accidently get the TGF2 Trial Version?

I hope everything goes well and wish you well in the recovery process. You must be a tough old goat to go through 9 surgeries.... I'm not sure anyone else here can even imagine what you're going through.
    Best wishes to you, Marv.

A tough old goat indeed! We all wish you well, and hope to see you back around again when you feel up to it!
