Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.
A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.
Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!
Yes its a 2nd edition, I got the book rights back from the publisher and have updated it to work with the latest versions/demo. You wont need to get this book really if you have the first edition. And you can still download the example files and updated adventure files from my website if there is anything you wanted to check out.
Great!!. Jason!. I wish you success with your new edition. I read complete this book the same year and it was so useful. But I wish the objects were cross-platform.
Thanks for new update. I repeat my request as 7 years ago. I need an video object for play movie for all platforms ( PC/Android/iOS/MAC). I want it for my animations.
I request many times to play Mp4 as cross-platform. I'm a 2D animator and strongly need it. Is any chance for port FFMpeg object to Android,iOS? It's open source. I really need it. Thanks in advance
Yves A suggestion: Please add a column in Event Editor for play video. Like play sound. It's so helpful for play a cut-scene animation and film and will be cross-platform too.
Well, you can play MP4 with DirectShow, as you can with AVI, if the correct codecs are installed (same for AVI). Mehrdad wants an object that can play it on every platform though.
Yes I agree. Someone else could release a GPL extension, but that would move the issue to the user.
Another option would be a WebM object.
I think OGV is the best option. It's Complete free like OGG.
MP4 and MKV are not video formats, that's container formats. Those containers contain video and audio files with different codecs (H264, AAC, etc). And for each codec there are probably licensing issues. I'm not sure we can make one (maybe a 3rd party dev could). I planned to take a look at VLC as they have a lib, to see how they handle this, but couldn't find enough time yet.
Thanks for the reply. The format is not a problem. We can change it with convertors. I only want it to play a video as cut-scene for all platforms.
Yves I request it many times in per updates. Please and please, I need to MP4 player object (or other format like MKV) for ALL runtime. No seekbar and any controller, Just start to play a video and close after finishing it. I'm an animator and need to run animations between my gameplay. possible?
