Clickteam Fusion 2.5 Developer problem with JDK for SWF and Android

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • Hello Community,

I have a problem with the JDK 8 x64 Windows version for both SWF and Android export builds. When I click Build and Run in CF 2.5 D I get this error message:

    Error loading: C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_121\jre\bin\server\jvm.dll

This is the complete error message. And I am running Android studio or the latest version of Android (Please login to see this link.).

    Thank you,

    arest2

  • Hello,

I am having a hard time uploading a screenshot since the image takes too much memory. But I will say that under the preference for SWF that the pathname for the JRE or directory is C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_121. I will also say that for Android the pathname of the JDK directory is C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_121 and the pathname of the Android SDK directory is C:\Program Files\Android\Android Studio

Should the folders for Java and Android be under the Clickteam Fusion Developer 2.5 folder? What jdk should I install for my computer which is a 64 bit Operating System for a x64 processor - according to oracle the java I installed is right for my computer but is it right for Clickteam Fusion 2.5 developer?

  • That should be good.
Make sure you have Java 8 installed and not 7

Otherwise uninstall and re-install the 32 bit version. I've seen people having problems with the 64 bit version.
I still use the 32 bit for it, and have no problems

  • I do have Java 8 installed but have the same error problems like I have posted above. Do you think I should put the Java and Android file under the CFD 2.5 folder before trying to install the 32 bit version or would that make a difference? If not where is a link that I can use to download the 32 bit version of Java 8 because I can not seem to find it? Thank you again for the quick support - I feel like I am not alone:)

    on that page

    Windows x86 189.36 MB jdk-8u121-windows-i586.exe

and the SDK: Please login to see this link.

once you you install the SDK, start the manager and download the API's

  • So I installed your Android version and installed API 24 and not 25. When I clicked build and run I did not see an Android version of my game anywhere. What should my next step be should I install Eclipse?

  • You should try just a build and see if you can build an APK

Build and Run you need to make sure your Android Phone has the driver installed and you have the phone also set to developer mode.
You will also need to change your phone to allow installation of applications from unknown sources until you get around to signing your APKs.

I find Build and Run to not work well on my computer so I build to my Dropbox folder and then open dropbox on my phone and install the app.
