I'm confused about what you mean by "steam compatible", all extensions are compatible with both Steam and non-steam versions.

Some extensions are packaged with installers which only detect non-Steam installations.
If you're desparate for that MSSQL extension, then you could probably fool the installer into thinking you have a real installation by creating some dummy folders and .exe files. Then once it's installed just move the files that it created into your steamapps\common\Clickteam Fusion folder. Annoying, to be sure, but it might work.
Close, but you couldn't do it that way as the installers check the registry for the Fusion install, so you could fool it with the right registry key changes.

I guess you could just ask someone with a non-steam build to install it on their machine, then ZIP up the relevant files for you, DJFuego?
