Fusion3 & 2.5 Console Conversion Service

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • This is amazing stuff! I'm definitely have to send off an email inquiring about pricing for this. (Mainly if I decide to ever do a kickstarter for a 2D project and have console ports as stretch goals.) I look forward to seeing more of this and also for Fusion 3!

  • thanks Simon, this is great!
After the portage is done, will it be possible to update the game for new feature or bug fixes without doing all the conversion again or will we end up with a definitive file?

  • We are indeed still exploring a Switch Exporter for 2.5.

It's worth noting that I am unable to offer the conversion service or sell a Switch Exporter to just anyone. You must be a approved Nintendo Developer and request the service and later the exporter through Nintendo via our Development Tools listing in their development portal.

Thanks for this info, Kisguri. I'm a licensed Nintendo Developer with a studio fully equipped in Switch development hardware, but most interested in the exporter itself rather than conversion service. Do you know if you plan to offer the Switch Exporter for 2.5 at a price point similar to your other current exporter options? Also, is there any projected time frame in which the Switch Exporter for 2.5 may be released? (Prior to Fusion 3?)

We provide as part of the agreement 1 year support on the code for bug fixes and functional maintenance updates. If you are add new content that would be a separate issue.

  • Will this service lead to a F3 source code that the dev can obtain and work with when F3 is out?

Pricing has not been finalised yet but you should expect console exporters to be priced as a premium option. It is hence highly unlikely that the pricing will be inline with Android or iOS for example.

Just to be sure, Fusion 3 Console Conversion and Switch exporter are two different things?

This service and the potential exporter are two different things, however please do not expect similar pricing to our current exporter model should a Fusion 2.5 exporter for switch get completed.

  • We announced the mfa to F3 importer years ago now :)

Indeed, it was announced a while back although we're still waiting to know what definitely will and won't be achievable and I guess that's something we'll have to wait a bit longer for. I note Please login to see this link. from November 2017 where Danny stated: "There will be an importer for Fusion 3 but it's not 100% what it will be able to achieve just yet. We know images/sounds/assets will be imported. It's probable there will be event manipulation also but I can't say 100%". I hope that the newest announcement means we're closer to an event importer being included, but I can understand if it isn't full backwards compatibility due to the changes/improvements in how Fusion 3 works.

  • So will there be a Swtch exporter for F3 or not?
Every time someone from clickteam talks about it it's like "potential" or "hopefully.." and so on.
    Just give 2 straight answers:
    Switch exporter for F2.5? Yes/No?
    Switch exporter for F3? Yes/No?

  • The reason we've said potentially is that we are still negotiating things with Nintendo and whilst we're certain we can do porting, we have yet to work out the details on an exporter. Hence, potentially and hopefully we can do an exporter for both platforms. Sheesh!

  • In order to be fully transparent with us, when you should be able to talk about the price? Because "not similar than other exporter" is not very clear, and I think we are a lot to wait if the exporter can be accessible for everyone, or just for a small handful of rich person?

    Thanks!

  • The Switch exporter for Fusion 2.5 is what CT are in talks with Nintendo about.. so that sounds like a maybe.

The Switch porting service is a definite yes, the price will vary greatly from project to project as already stated..

I suspect Fusion 3 will most likely be able to port to Switch in the future

  • I am curious if there is any chance that Mac/Linux options would be possible as well?
