Fusion 2.5+ DLC Official pre and post-launch Thread
Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.
A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.
Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

Sounds like the product is now in the Clickteam webshop. :p
Not on Steam yet.
So close, I can almost taste it. Can't wait for that Steam release.
-
OMG! IT'S OUT!!! I'm 8 dollars away (hopefully the steam version which is what I have will be a bit cheaper, heehee) :o :o :o feels like a crab running inside a bucket - anyway this is a historical day for all us clickers! it's been a loooooong time! but like a well done pizza in the oven!!! yummy! btw, later tonight if one can, record a video and upload to youtube so we can see the dlc!

Is it possible to use the ClickStore's 'Key Conversion' on 2.5+ to have both the steam and standalone version be up-to-date?
-
Just bought, can't wait to test it!
-
Am I the only one getting this error?
"Your version of Clickteam Fusion 2.5 is not compatible with this export module
Pelase update Clickteam Fusion 2.5 after installing this module."EDIT: Never mind, my awful internet connection was not detecting the lastest update.
-
DirectX11 mode literally just cut at least 3 seconds off of every level's load times, and they were already only 2-3 seconds minimum. :O
Um quick question how do I create a Sub Event? Lol

-
No I did, I meant literally in the event editor interface how do I create a child event, but I figured it out.
-
Pour quoi ça marche pas chez moi ?
Il dis que ce module d'exportation n'est pas compatible avec ma version de fusion 2.5 developer ! -

Pareil, ne marche pas chez moi ! -
Just bought it. Glad it has a sweet little badge here. Can't wait to try it out.
-
Great! I'll buy it now
-
Run Fusion and click Check for Update. It'll install the latest 292 version. Then install the DLC version.
And WOW! So far it's brill. It loads really quick. And just tried a multi-layered platform game I'm working on using DirectX 11 and it seems so smooth and fluid. Loving it so far.
Thanks Clickteam. It's worth every penny

Oui ça marche c'est super
-
Haven't picked it up yet (will be once it hits Steam though!) but I just noticed - I seem to have the 2.5+ badge already in my forum profile?

Instantly upgraded Mondrian into DX11 and it's running amazing. The improved look of Fonts, even Arial, is a sight for sore eyes. Already going through and consolidating events I've had in this game for literally 4 years now into parent/child events and I couldn't be happier. Thank you, Clickteam!

So jealous....want Steam version now...I originally bought it standalone, but I got all the exporters for the Steam version so I don't use the standalone anymore.

So after playing with this just a little bit here are my findings:
Load times for my game out of the box remain the same from Fusion as before 2.5+, but my understanding is this isn't really the best benchmark as it should be measured from the .exe. The program itself's load time is much faster though.
My CPU usage has decreased by an average of 2-3% just out of the box.
RAM usage has dramatically improved by using an average of 45% of what it once was! Example, pre-2.5+ used 781mb of RAM, and with 2.5+ it used 331mb of RAM in one particular area!
I can't measure my FPS as I'm using a GTX 1080 and was already getting 60FPS solid but will eventually test on lower end machines. The profiler though, wow! This is going to be a completely priceless tool for optimization. I've already tried a few things and have found significant loading improvements because of this tool. Having Global Event Editor access with its new capabilities from the main menu (and a keyboard shortcut) is fantastic as well.
I can't wait to dive deeper into the other features.
-
I missed some things in the meantime... What do global events do? Behaviors and qualifiers, what is the advantage of using them? Seriously, I feel stupid to ask this now, but I did not follow the evolution of CFusion at those points
