Problem with "Active Picture" after 292.10 update

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • My android application uses pixel style. Application components are built on the "Active Picture", downloadable from "Data Elements".
The problem is that now I cannot export the application in the same pixel style. Now either the interface is blurred, or the Active Picture.

As you can see in the picture, the "Smooth Resize" switch does not help to fix the problem. I tried to reinstall CTF and Android exporter, it also had no effect.

  • Now with the active object everything is fine(292.14), but there was a problem with the text. It does not go into pixel mode. Reveal itself a strong decrease in the speed of work the application, this was not with previous versions CTF.

  • I checked the old and new versions of my android app again. I apologize for the Text, as it turned out it works properly. But I am again confused by the strong delays of the application. It`s hard to explain.
The situation is... in the application for hosting most of the graphic resources i used Data Elements, then load them in frame by Active Picture.

If you load them one by one into the frame, then there is no problem. But there is a button, after pressing which at the same time should load 15 Active Picture.
The old version of the application after clicking the button loaded them pretty quickly. In the new version, after pressing the button, the action is performed only after 2-3 seconds.

  • Active pictures have always taken a few seconds to load on my starter devices that are very low on ram / system resources. I've had to make something to indicate the frame is loading, because they take that long.

In other words this sounds perfectly normal to me - it's always been like that for me. (I have not noticed any difference across the versions.)

Something else to check would be how much storage / memory your device has - if it's running low then things also start to take longer.

  • There are a lot of graphic files from Date Elements that have a strictly defined location on my hard drive. Is it possible to load them to the mfa file?

In order to recreate this problem, you can create 50 active picture (I have so many of them on the frame), add a button after which each of them should start downloading, and compile to android.

I am sure that all this uses the resources of the phone heavily. I can only provide a link to the old version of the application from the Google store, and same application but compiled in the new version of the CTF.

  • OK, i read your post, but i don't understand the latest changes in APO reduce from 60 to 100 msec in time for a full HD graphic, this is in code, no more is achievable, BUT the decoding speed still depends on hardware and OS code.

I tested here with a Russian game Froggy and compare on how it was it really increase speed.

Now your second post what brought is a memory issue, 50 APO objects is a lot

    let review some numbers

an image 1280x720 is big in bytes holds a memory of 3686400 bytes or 3600 KB or 3.51 MB if you multiply this for 50 are 175 MB, but remember during loading you have memory in the cpu side during loading and then you move it to GPU side.

    video with one APO

[video]Please login to see this link.]

now about speed in teh past loading an image of 1.2 MB took 150 ~ 220 msecs depending the moment and when the OS was executing some memory cleaning OF COURSE final speed will depend on hardware as mentioned above.

    Tested with a Samsung A50

    now
