I started working on a Music Maker / Riff Maker. So far so good. Everything is simple and works perfectly so far.
Graphics will get Far better looking. This was just a Rough Idea that turned out pretty awesome so far.
So, now that I know the Concept works. I will continue the build.
Here is the preview...

Music / RIFF MAKER project
Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.
A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.
Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

Drums added.

Next I am going to add volume for each sound. This way you can dial them in how you want.
I.E. BASS in the background or BASS owning the song. -
Last video of the night.
I had some odd bug happening with the first code I made to control the Sound volumes.
I had all Piano Sounds linked to Channel 1, Guitar to Channel 2 and Drums to Channel 3.
What ended up happening is MMF2.5DEV Cut the sounds off every time a new one played and would only play one sample from said channel.
Anyway, the new code is ALWAYS set ( All PIANO SOUNDS to PIANO COUNTER ). Works great.

This looks very cool. Interface so far is nice too. I use a mix of DAW, Analog synths and electric Mandolin to make music my self. Mandolin, Violin, Cello and 4 string Banjo all use the same string setup G, D, A, E. May be good ones to add in future.
Will keep an eye on this thread and again nice work. Sound in Fusion can be tricky for many so great to see projects like this.

This is coming along nicely. I’m amazed at just how good it is so far X)

I ordered a Mini Keyboard with a bunch of sounds on it. When it arrives, I will check to see if those sounds are available.
I plan on hooking a MALE to MALE Aux to my Computer so I can direct record the sounds in .ogg format.Thanks. The interface is fairly easy so far. I may position things a bit more as this progresses.

You and me both. Normally with Fusion it is a battle to get sounds to work together. Multiple sounds always seem to be the biggest pain in the butt.
I will say this though. I noticed with the Volume feature added for each sound that the Video Recording software was lagging.
Prior to that, no lag.
This is telling me the ALWAYS function is using up to much memory. I will need to figure a way to force sound volume.
I was planning when the key played to adjust volume first then play. However, I know from prior history of doing this. Fusion likes to skip things.
I.E. C KEY adjust to Counter Value = No problem
C + E + G Keys adjust to Counter Value = C or E or G adjusted or C and E but not G Adjusted or C and G but not E adjusted , etc...We shall see, I really don't like the lag in Videos as I assume the lag will also be when recording audio as well. Which will be the next function I will be working on.
This way you could record a RIFF, then clear the grid. Play the RIFF back with the Grid and add other Sounds while recording again.
Play that Riff back with the extra sounds and continue to do this until you have a song.We shall see, how many bugs show up doing all of this. XD

Quick UI Improvement this morning...

Added a super long create field. Now you can make a full song all at once. I didn't bother making anything that sounds good in this video, so you might want to turn down the audio. lol

Not sure where this came from. LOL XD

Lags gone and speed is up. This is coming along awesome so far! I can't wait to finish it up with more sounds.I ordered a Keyboard to get some awesome new sounds for this app. Stay tuned...

nice work, its great watching this grow.
Do you plan to add the ability to increase the length of a sound?
So when you add a sound you can then drag the active longer across more than one square.
Not sure how to make a click and drag a active work but have done this with right click mouse over active and use up/down on scroll wheel to ad or subtract to a value then scale X on the active with that value. -
Can I share your sound library
-
Actually as of now, the sound is not determined by the size of the box. However, I was thinking of possibly doing something like what you are saying, but have one box for individual keys and a second box to make the hold as long as you want.
I.E. C = Light blue box and C held would = Dark Blue box or boxes.
This way you could make C hold throughout the entire song if you wished and the cutoff would only be abrupt on the held C, instead of the normal C.
We shall see, I am surprised MMF2.5Dev is still allowing me to even play this as typically, Sounds on MMF2.5Dev always seems to have issues not playing, playing funny, half playing, etc...Thank you!

As of now, No. I found these sounds online to test with. Once I get my Keyboard and create my own sounds with it. YES! -
Not sure if you have seen LMMS but its a great open source DAW project. You can load in VST instruments also. There are many great VSTs too. Please login to see this link. Maybe it will give some ideas and check out how the extending sounds works on it. All DAW do it the same really.
This VST is great too maybe good for generating some sounds for you to add to your project also. Please login to see this link.
Personally I use Bitwig as my chosen DAW after years of using Orion, before that Fruity Loops and before that well first got hooked on sound when I saw the sound editor on one of those old cube macs back in the 80s. Love your work.
Computers are for making art making music and making games.

Thank you. I was just making this as simple as possible for everyone ( Clickteam Members ) to mess around with, once it is completed.

Added Tone Control for the Sounds. I am thinking to add a Whammy slider, for recording and live play.
Basically you make your song, click record and if you want a Whammy effect while recording. Grab the slider and make the effect live.
More to come...

Working on a New Layout to shrink the space used for the buttons. There will be a Volume slider for the Sounds, instead of the + / - buttons.
Might be awhile till the next post as the new layout uses less lines of code and less objects. -
