change direction when the object hits a wall

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

    so, i now the basics for this programme so i can understand ur guids
    anyway im trying to remake my best shildhood game of all time "tank trouble" if u know it its just a 2player tank game in a maze areana shooting bullets
    my problem is when the tank shouts a bullet and the bullet collides with a wall the bullet will bounce 45° or idk like the oroginal game do ,i thought its so easy to make but here i ame struggeling with it XD
    so if anyone can help me just light me with ur solution for this
    thanks everyone and sorry for destroying english lol :saint:

  • give the "bullet" the bouncing ball movement, and when it collides, just add [bounce] to the bullet condition.

    eg; [bullet] collides with backdrop. -< [bullet] bounce.

    *bullet must have bouncing ball movement (in properties)

    *backdrop must be an obstacle (in properties)

  • you are going about it wrong. heres a really default basic setup

    when you are learning, you can let the program do a lot for you. this example uses all the default methods.

    once you get the hang of how easy it is, then you can start advancing and make it better;

    eg. make you own movement instead of 8-dir, add animations, use sin/cos vectors for shooting the bullet in 360 degrees, etc.

  • ill do my best to get into it ,thank u8o
