Debugger window - set dimensions from actions?

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • you would not want the user to see the debugger in most cases.
if the debugger window is too small for you, you may need to maximise it

  • Well, at the moment, whilst I can open it, it is always small and I virtually always have to size it make it large enough to be useful. Using it means clicking on it and resizing it every time I run the my program. I was suggesting a way to set its size either in the app properies of even in the special options or something like that.

  • agreed, much more important things to do. I also think some sort of an array visualiser in the debugger would be very handy, although with the ability to take specific elements (say Alt Vars A-C from object A) into the debugger to keep it clearer.

  • A good compromise here is if the debugger would just remember the size and position you dragged it to, and maybe also leave the tree view open to the way you had it last for that application.

That might be easier to incorporate into MMF. I don't really see as much of a need to set it in MMF. At least, I would be happy with it remembering.

  • Yeah - I think the debugger could really be worked on to make it an excellent feature; some ideas:

    - ability to add peak readings to memory usage/number of objects/and maybe other active object data parts

    - compatibility with extensions, e.g. working with OINC and displaying connection status, server recognised username, error messages, number of peers in channel, etc, etc

    - more customisable selections of data to be displayed - e.g. possible make a group/folder and put in your most watched data

    - transparent/semi-transparent debugger box
