@jasonD
Looking forward to your new book

What are you working on?
Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.
A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.
Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

Interesting thread!
Lately I've been mostly working on this hotel business simulation game:
Please login to see this picture.
It will be a flash game, maybe iPad version later. Hoping to get it finished "soon".

Blender > under User Preferences > Input -Select with - left
Thanks
Apparently there is a reason for the right-mouse click madness...lol...

Looking forward to your new bookditto. This is needed. While there is a ton of resources, I think a solid beginner's tutorial will help get people on the right track.

This looks awesome!

Agreed with buckeroo. That looks pretty good MJK.
As for Blender, I found it to be counter intuitive, but maybe that's because I started learning with 3DSmax a long time ago.

Here is a screenshot of the game I mentioned earlier. Just have a few icons to make and it's ready to upload to apple.
Balloon Factory
The object of the game is to guide the balloons in to the pressure chamber.
Tap the blowers on either side of the screen to move the balloons towards the pressure chamber, any balloons that stray will hit the spikes and pressure will be lost.
To maintain the pressure guide as many balloons as possible in to the pressure chamber. If the pressure reaches zero the game is over !Please login to see this attachment.

Nice looking game Mikec!

I recently released Please login to see this link. on Moochi, but to be honest the money from the ads is extremely low.
Now i am working simultaneously on two games, which definitely will not be ported to flash.
One is a castle defense/offensse game, which will be a mix of tower defense, unit sending battles and has a unit generator with which the player can make it's own custom units to use in the campaign, as you can see in the second screenshot.
Please login to see this attachment. Please login to see this attachment. Please login to see this attachment. The other is an adventure game, this one i am working with an artist friend, who draws extremely slowly but none the less will certainly look far better than my ussuall hasty scrabblings.
This is the part of the intro animation into the game which i animated from his drawing:

i could fill this place with stuff i work on - and probably wont finish. i go round in circles amongst a mass of projects and see what holds my attention for a while so it progresses a bit. ive learnt now to comment more - especially with what my variables and flags are doing. cause its a bugger when you look at a project 2 years old, and think WTF~ did i write that?
-
Lets see,:pacman::pacdot::pacdot:
Hungry Snakes (working title) -> Tactical RPG version of Snake
Generic Level Editor -> to be used in at least two major projects coming up
This Game Again -> Breakout, Space Invaders, Asteroids, Pinball, etc minigame mashup
Tiles -> Just a bunch of tiles. For use in tile based projects. Already all drawn, now I'm just naming all 2600 of them.
Remote Multitouch Controller -> Works fine, without the multitouch. Waiting on an extension or two for Android before I continue.
+3 other projects I can't talk about, two of which are contracted. -

Holidays are coming up so I plan on putting together the game design document for a vampire hunting game which I've been meaning to make for a long time
and also start practicing animation a bit more in the hope that I will be competent enough to start creating the art by my next lot of holidays. -
DarkSocket - Multi-protocol multi-threaded socket extension
PortAudio - Multi-platform multi-threaded microphone extension
ZlibStream (Anaconda export) - multi-threaded compression using gzip library
Flash game - niche idea so I'm not telling!
Another extension - name secret!
Development has slowed considerably on the extensions, due to an EDIF bug, but that should be repaired soon and things will get under way.
If I receive more (paid) requests for an iOS version of DarkSocket, I'll be making a iOS export for that. -

Regarding the "iOS version of DarkSocket" how many paid requests are you looking for and what would be the cost? If you have any ideas please post it. At this time I am waiting for Lacewing.
I've successfully been able to use the Game Center multiplayer for turn based games but not for anything remotely close to real time. I think GC uses TCP vs. UDP for blasting out the the data. As well, it sends everything out as strings (I think) and that makes it incredibly slow. Even when some form of interpolation, it's still slow.
-
Lacewing will be out for iOS soon. I've already ported the library, I just need Andos to take a look at how we're going to bundle it together with the runtime.
It will support both TCP and UDP, and binary messages (just like it does on Windows and Android).
