Orientation issues with iOS 6

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • I posted something about this in the beta 2 thread.

I noticed this issue hasn't been addressed yet. I was just wondering if a work-around has been found with it? Or if a fix may be coming in beta 3.

  • If this is not fixed, it is rare that CT has released a new beta because knowing on the subject. If I miss that in the list of arranged things Yves does not mention anything. :(

  • Yeah, I'm completely fine testing on my iOS 5.1.1 device until it is fixed. I guess it's more of one of those things that I can't wait to try it out on my new iPhone 5. Trying out those new screen size features. From what I can tell so far, they kind of work? I was hoping that "Set X coordinate to X Left Frame+25" (for keeping the player's character 25 pixels away from the side of the screen) event would work with it. But, that's a completely different topic.

  • Yeah, he said they weren't able to fit the fix into this update due to the complexity of the issue in the other thread. You can imagine my frustration with it trying out the different screen size features while trying to get this to work :P

I'm glad they're working on it though! I guess to me, doesn't really matter if I have to wait another month for it.

  • Yes we are still working on that.
Apple implemented new ways to handle screen orientations in iOS6. They look more intuitive but there is something not working 100% as before.

  • Done some testing on my iPhone 5 and iPad 3 with the latest beta and I can confirm this issue. Here is a test MFA I created which demos the various screen resolutions which may help you in testing Andos.

Here is the MFA: Please login to see this link.

If you have anything I could help by testing on the iPhone 5 or iPad 3 let me know via PM.
