#FF20x0615 theme hint at Please login to see this link. detailed rules Please login to see this link. Who will guess?
Back to the future?
Hahah, good one, but no
Hmm... The logo isn't much to go on. I'm guessing a general 80's theme. Maybe NES or arcade style. The Logo dose have a very Back to the Future look to it though. Actually, IS the logo the hint?
Miami Vice? lol... yeah definitely 80's theme.
Distorted reflections?
I think the back to the future text is just a hint to put us on the path to finding the answer.
First we must invent the flux capacitor, allowing us to travel into the future to the announcement of the theme. Then, upon realising the answer, we must travel back in time to submit it as a post on the forum.
However, whilst in the future we discover that Half Life 3 has been confirmed, and spend all our time playing it... forgetting to submit our 20 event competition entry and forgetting to post the answer to the mystery. Hence, I conclude it is impossible to find the answer using time travel alone.
Ah, but what about time travel and willpower, or time travel and finding someone who's parents probably wouldn't allow them to play the game (like me, probably)? XD
Also, back on the topic of the competition, I can't tell how many events are allowed because of the exact wording, so here's a question: How many events would we be allowed to use?
I agree, I'm reading that as 5 events x 4 conditions = 20 events.
I love the idea of a monthly 20 event challenge, I'm in Japan for a month so probably won't enter this one either.. but next time for sure!
For people who are confused, I believe this is what's happening. It's 20 events, with a max of 4 conditions in each event. Group Headers, comments and "new event" line are not counted as events. "or" and "or (filtered)" are not counted towards the condition limit. EXTRA bonus points are awarded if you use 6 or less events in your game frame.
There are 20 events with 4 conditions per event, I changed the 5th line to "5x more events (20)"
DaveC The new Theme is every single Month HOWEVER each jam lasts for 2 months. So you will have plenty of time to Start/Polish your entry.
Also you have detailed ruleset here: Please login to see this link. which clearly states 20 events as well as any special awards.
Could you explain what "5x more events (20)" means?
I've read the detailed rules and understand, but the wording here doesn't line up with anything I read there.
4 conditions per event line
5x more events (20)
5x more than 4 (total 20)
If anyone got better idea with keeping 5 at front, let me know.
The 1-2-3-4-5 thing is funny but totally unnecessary. You can keep the first 4 if you really have to but you should state it very clearly that it is 20 events
So #FusionFree20 starts with #ff20x0615 theme: "Miami in the 80s" logo inspired by Hotline Miami/Chase HQ.
Also I changed description to:
#FusionFree20
1 Theme each Month
2 Months to enter
3 Frames max
4 conditions per event
5 x4 events - max 20
#FF20x0615 Miami in the 80s
Is anyone entering this?
I don't understand the theme... although I was alive in the 80s, i was in australia not miami. No mention of prizes either, monthly competitions is a bit tough as it would take me 2 months to complete a 20 event game.
1) The new Theme is revealed every month, but each of them lasts 2 months
2) Miami in 80's was quite popular pop-culture thing and seeing recent boom with Kung-Fury, Hotline Miami, GTA and so on, it is viable theme.
3) There might be no prizes at all, it's mainly for fun and enjoyment.
There is some interest from various people but who will enter , dunno. Maybe I will be the only one or maybe there will be no one. Or maybe there will be dozens of people and I will stuck with judging.
