How do I delete header menu bar items from within the event editor?

Welcome to our brand new Clickteam Community Hub! We hope you will enjoy using the new features, which we will be further expanding in the coming months.

A few features including Passport are unavailable initially whilst we monitor stability of the new platform, we hope to bring these online very soon. Small issues will crop up following the import from our old system, including some message formatting, translation accuracy and other things.

Thank you for your patience whilst we've worked on this and we look forward to more exciting community developments soon!

  • How do I delete header menu bar items from within the event editor?

I've tried using the "Advanced Menu Object" but it's pretty messy and doesn't have much in the way of documentation or examples. It also doesn't seem like it's possible to delete items not created with the object.

All I want to do is delete several items that have been specified in the project properties, depending on a certain number of conditions in the event editor.

    Is this possible to do?

  • Just to clarify, do you mean the dropdown menus file when you run the application? File, options and help that is.

  • Anyone?

I've tried the Advanced Menu Object, but it's extremely buggy. If you put three "delete item" in a row, it will sometimes delete all three, sometimes less and sometimes none on each application launch.

Please, is there no other solution?

  • What about making your own custom menu bar?

You can always replicate any menu command through the "special - send menu command" action.

In this way you would have complete control on what to show in any given moment

It's a bit of effort more.. but not that much, unless you plan having a very complex menu bar.

(Though I never used the Advanced Menu object and don't know if can do what you need)

a selection of my Fusion examples can be found Please login to see this link.

  • I have a lot of options available on application launch and wish to delete some of them on start depending on whether or not certain global variables are set.
