    Hi,

    I am looking for someone to port my PC game to android. It's very lightweight and runs without problems on the Steam Deck (I know, not 100% the same but just to give you an idea ^^). Simply exporting the current pc build as apk also runs but it needs some adjustements like converting mouse wheel input to touch control, changing some paths etc. Nothing major.

    This would potentially be a long-term gig. I want to start with one game and see how it performs but I already have a bunch of others I'd like to bring to android if the first one proves to be successful enough.

    The game is paid, no ads. I personally have zero experience with android so I decided to rather seek help instead of spending lots of hours on learning the ins and outs of the platform.

    What is it?
    BotGame API allows game developers to add dynamicity to your games. Create Entities, create Attributes for your entities and even Group your entities. No matter what game you are developing, you can catalog your entities and their attributes and update them in real-time. This means no more game updates to push for information regarding your entities.


    Entities can be anything from Enemies, AI Players, Loot Boxes, Decks of Cards, Slot Prize Wheels and so much more... literally anything.


    Need to update an entities attributes in real-time? Do it via the dashboard and the update will instantly reflect across all your games, across all platforms.

    It also features some other developer tools like an online expression evaluator and a random number generator with variable options.

    Not true. Cutting your graphics down from 1024x1024 down to 512x512 will save memory. Infact, probably around half the memory.

    Fusion handles it's own "garbage collection" routines, this has vastly improved over the last two years and 2.5+ handles this even better.

    PNG with Alpha (PNG32) uses an Alpha layer, PNG24 doesn't, if you don't impose an alpha layer, so you save on both memory and processing.

    Fusion does its best itself to keep the runtime memory efficient. Just stick to the power of 2 rules and learn to scale up graphics and you're on the right path...

    Just to note, you don't need 2.5+ in order to use Global Events, they are available in all versions of Fusion 2.5.

    2.5+ does offer some better handling of stuff like qualifiers and setting a base frame.

    I would certainly look at the angle of using just one frame for the game engine and then creating your own external level editor...

    AOPS is probably the best selling feature, it's a completely automated and advanced 'patching' element to the game launchers, which enable you to patch your games by only downloading the files that have been modified, providing swift and seamless updates to your players/users.

    We also now have the 'Export as Template' feature, where you can export your launchers as a 'template' to share or sell to other users of GLC V2.

    If you ever need pinpoint accuracy with time(s), then frame counting is the best way to do it, similar to what you're already doing, you can even go as far as using delta-time, but you seemed to have took that step to alternative thinking and that's the best way to approach Fusion.

    Yes, it's a tricky one due to the way the login session is handled. When you use GET/POST, no cookie is created, thus no client-side session handling. I would try your way you suggested for the second GET to activate a second login, but this is certainly an interesting one.

    I will take a look deeper myself later this week, if you come up with anything in the meantime, please do post your results!

    How are you trying to copy the folder?

    This is not how it works. You need to loop through files with the File-Folder object and copy each file. First you create the destination directory structure you want with the appDataDirectory$ + "\MMFapplications\game\testFolder\"

    Then you use File-Folder to loop through the local data folder, and then copy the files one by one. It runs its own browsing loop, so you can copy and create files on the fly. You can't simply choose a directory and copy it over, this is the route you will have to go.
