Hey guys, im using several giant gears in my game that need to spin and was wondering if there is a way to set an event to make the gear spin without needing to use animations? Its not that i am too lazy to make an animation (i have and its like 60 frames worth! lol) but i figured there was an "smoother" way to do it than that. I've tried messing with the angle and it would work great but it seems to just rotate around a point that isnt there making a big circle when i need it to stay centered but spin at that point if that makes any sense lol.
Set the gear's hotspot to be the center of the gear (where you want it to rotate at), then just change the angles.
Hi Game_Master, thanks for the quick reply! I've tried that and still no luck, just looks as though it is spinning around a center position that isnt there :( And my event looks like this:
Set angle to Angle(Gear)-1(Quality=1)
It spins but like i said it just spins as if something else is in the center where the gear actually should be. im at a loss :(
WOW! Im a friggin idiot! Doh! haha, i was messing with the action point, not the hotspot. Thanks man, typical. The simple things that are overlooked are ridiculous lol. Thanks again!
