I have an animation dilemma here guys.....

Hey everyone...me again. I have what can only be categorized as a silly newbie question, but nonetheless I need it answered lol. How do I get an animation to start and stop on a timer? I have a character in my game whose stop animation blinks his eyes. Its a nice animation, and the blinking is on point, but he does it non stop. I dont want the blinking to loop. I want him to blink, and then blink again in 2 or 3 seconds. I tried giving him a behavior like this "If the animation "stopped is over", every 2 seconds, start the animation sequence. That didnt work...... any ideas?
