Bad/Weird Frame Rate issues?

Not going to bug box this because I'm not totally sure if it's a bug or not but I'm getting some serious bad frame rate issues when exporting to android. I'm not doing too much in the terms of the game, the debugger shows it 90-100 actives to 30-40mb. I've tried everything on these boards to reduce the lag and still when testing on my phones, there'd be pockets of "lag spikes" and when I've tested it on my partners phone, (which is a newer model of mine) the frame rate drops by about 15! I find that the lag happens a little bit after playing the game (not straight away.) Also the game lags a lot when the level is "vertical" and not horizontal.

No idea why this is happening as when exporting the same type of engine to flash, it works fine. (And I know flash is usually a lot more unstable when it comes to frame rates and optimisation.)

Any thoughts?
