    Unable to take screenshot

    Hi, weird one but for the game I'm currently working on I noticed that I am unable to take any screenshots of it (!)

    The actual frame is pretty large however the window properties for it during runtime are 200 x 120. Then it's blown up using MMF's built in fullscreen function. But when I go to do a regular screenshot all I'm getting is a mostly black picture with a little bit of white square or something in the lower right-hand corner.

    It's not the end of the world of course but it does make things tough to show to others

    Any ideas?

    What are you using to take the screenshot? The inbuilt windows prntscrn function probably won't work. But since you're using Fusion's fullscreen, Fraps should work.

    I use the Print Screen button and paste into Paint, then copy/paste into Fusion.

    Yeah that's what I usually use, the print screen button on my keyboard and it didn't work. I know my laptop has Fraps built into it but to be honest I've never been able to get it to work haha. You'd think it'd be easy too.

    Yeah that's what I normally do also.

    Funny... Fraps has never worked well for me either.

    That's super weird! Print Screen has always worked for me. >.<

    My only suggestion is to try using Alt - Print screen, instead of just print screen (make sure the window is in focus first) as a test and see if that works instead. If that still doesn't work you could test out the Snipping tool in Windows 10 if you have it. Basically drag and drop where you want your shot to be (obviously wouldn't work to well if you were getting action shots - lol). Hope you find something that works!!

    I don't have a PrintScreen button on my keyboard, I just use the Snipping Tool.

    Fusion has an inbuilt screen capture object : the "Screen Capture object".
    May be give it a try?

    Condition : press a key
    Action : output-> (filename/selector/clipboard)
    ...........capture-> (screen/active window/frame)

    As a rule of thumb, I would suspect (rightly or wrongly) that:

    1. when you're grabbing the desktop, prntscrn key should work
    2. when you're reading directly off the GPU, a tool like Fraps is needed.

    If you're running in windowed mode (or ultimate Fullscreen Object, which is a type of borderless windowed mode), then (1) should work, while (2) usually won't work (Fraps won't usually activate unless a fullscreen game starts playing)

    If you're running in 'true fullscreen' mode, then the opposite would tend to be true: (1) won't work, but (2) will.

    Another option to try is ShareX. It's the most amazing screenshot software in the history of the world. I've known it to work when Fraps doesn't. Also, it's damn useful for taking screenshots for these forums. It took me exactly 7 seconds (I counted) to take and embed this screenshot shot (including taking screenshot, uploading it to imgur, embedding it below, and hitting "post quick reply"). I reckon if I really tried, I could do it under 5
