    Using The HTML Exporter

    Hello,

A while back i purchased Fusion 2.5 through Steam while it was on sale. I then bought a standalone key, to use the program outside of Steam. A few days ago, a friend of mine gifted me his copy of the HTML5 Exporter on Steam. Is there any way i could use the exporter with my standalone program? I tried Google, but am not exactly sure what to search for. Thank you for any help.

Edit 1: I just found a link explaining that your steam products are linked. That is what the steam ID is for. Sorry about this thread, I would delete if I could.

Edit 2: Ok, it looks like i was wrong. If i set the build it says HTML5 (limited version). What does this exactly mean? IS the extension enabled? Can i not use it if it was purchased on Steam?

I don't think (but never actually tried) you can use the standalone exporter with the steam version,

but from what you say (and your badges ) you should have steam Fusion and steam HTML5 exporter,
so you could use the steam version of Fusion for building in HTML5 instead of the standalone?

Or you can purchase another key conversion for your steam HTML5 exporter.

Thanks for that. but honestly, I don't see why I should have to pay AGAIN. I mean really? More money? Really dude? I'm not upset or anything. It just baffles me as to why I should have to PAY AGAIN. I've paid. Done. Nuff said. It's not that I don't see the work CT Fusion have put in to developing this software. But to pay again? No bruh. Ill stick to my Game Maker Softs. At least if you buy of Steam with them, you get to link your BOUGHT software. I do'nt have to PAY AGAIN. Again, no offense to ClickTeam. I just find it ridiculous you have to pay twice.

    Well, you don't "have" to:

Or you can purchase another key conversion for your steam HTML5 exporter

you can safely use the steam exporter with the steam version,
i.e. you can develop in the standalone, load the mfa in the steam version, and HTML5 build on steam

but if this is a detracting issue for you,
please doublecheck (and/or wait for other replies) the fact you can't use the steam exporter on the standalone version,
I might have written something inaccurate as I've never tried nor specifically read about this recently
(thugh I'm under the impression this is correct)

I was thinking the same thing, and I am thinking this is the only option. I don't mean to come across as rude. I really don't. But I dunno...
This is the ONLY OPTION I am left with, so i guess I should take whats dealt and be grateful I have anything at all. Dose not mean I have to be happy though. But just grateful I have anything at all.

    Thanks man.
