Can not select target Android, version must be at least 8.0

Google demands the targeted version to be at least 8.0
My game builds into an APK, keystore is accepted. APK is uploaded, then I get the message that I have to set the targeted android version to 8.0
But CTF only shows up untill 7.1
In the SDK manager however, I have installed many android SDK's including API27 (8.1), API26 (8.0)

When I click "Newest installed SDK API in CTF, it does pre-populate Build API 27

Were you still able to get it working? For me it seems a blocking message, trying to upload the first version of the internal testing APK file.

I have never successfully posted any Android app yet, while I've purchased the Android exporter many years ago and I had many games I've created long time ago, which I hoped to publish.
But then I found out extensions were not supported, then all kinds of build fails again, then needing to create a developer account costing money, Google blocking one of my email addresses for no reason (where I had stored my passwords), then figuring out how the keystore works, registering for admob and trying to get that working which also failed a lot of times to get a working build, registering for an account here (only recently entered my serials, which apparently seemed to unlock parts of this forum), trying to find out how to disable the "debug mode" for which Google at first rejected the APK file (apparently for test mode a keystore is also required, but I was looking for a "debug" checkbox in CTF), then the API version I had selected was no longer supported, now I cannot even select the required target API version.
All this has caused a delay of many years for me as I kept giving up every time, trying to pick it up next time, which mostly was a year later. Now I seem to be very close, have made a website, even a privacy statement page for the game...
    [end of rants]

If you complete all the steps to publish in the store, you will be able to rollout even with the warning message.

Yes it looks like you can continue past the warning message, was mostly curious though what happens in August when they require it to be api 27?

Ah, thanks for your reply! It seems indeed unrelated to this warning.
In the left menu not all ticks are green yet (for example missing high-resolution icon)

In my case it was the internal test traject that I can not publish.
Trying to understand why that button didn't get enabled is hard, how non-intuïtive can Google make this? But when I get 1 app online, it will be easier for the next apps to get them working
BTW, this page gave me the answer what was the problem: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/...eloper-console
