Feature request: snap path to grid to prevent path offset on repeated loops

I'm using the basic path movement with a repeating path. I've noticed that if the first and last point of the path do not match, the path offsets by the difference on each repeat. Is there any way to avoid this?
Otherwise is it possible to get the ability to use the snap to grid when editing paths so that we can ensure the two points have matching locations.

The built in path movement right? If the two points are close enough and you're looping the movement, could you turn on the "reposition at end" option so that it always returns back to the start point? The 'jump' or reposition at the end might not be noticeable if the start and end nodes are close together

    That works, thanks.
