Didn't mess around with layers whatsoever. First time using any version of MMF, so just following the tutorial word for word.
I did use the duplicate function to create the grid of blocks.

I didn't use layers either, I was playing about with the pinball movement stuff, couple of background objects and a ball and the ball vanished. (again havn't had it happen since tho)

I also had this happen when going through the tutorial. I've been playing around with the steps involved and can reproduce the disapearing objects effect pretty reliably.
It happens when an object is cut and pasted after another object has had 'Try movement' pressed.
To reproduce the problem do the following:
(using objects from the tutorial library)
1)drag one of the ball objects onto the frame. Left click and select bouncing ball movement, and click 'Try Movement'.
2)Drag a 'Milk' object onto the frame, right click + copy tnen Right click + paste
3)Hit play frame and the ball is gone (as will be any other objects you have added except for the copied and pasted Milk objects.
If you don't click 'try Movement' objects don't disappear, and if you save the app the effect goes away as mentioned above.
I hope this is helpful; let me know and I'll be happy to test further.

Alright, I know this is a very very old thread but this bug is actually still happening.
I am using the pinball movement for some projectile using gravity as it is very convenient, but when it reaches certain directions it will sometime suddenly disappear for no reason.
This happens so often that I m probably gonna have to redo all the assets I had using this movement, unless there is a chance this can be corrected ?
PS: I could make a video of it happening if necessary.
