    The usefulness of transitions

Whenever I use a fade-in transition, the frame does not start until the transition is finished. I do not really understand the point of a fade-in if everything is static until the fade is finished. Is it possible for the frame events to start whilst the transition is going?
The same goes for objects, they don't start their animations 'til the fade-in is over. I don't 'spose there's a way around this?

lol yeah I've done that one before! I thought it would just be neater and less memory intensive if it could do it in the actual transition.
