    resize & hotspots altering

one thing that annoys me is that when you set the hotspot to center for all images, it only calculates the center for the first image and then uses those X and Y coordinates for all images. This is a problem if you images have different dimension. This leads to the second problem. If i want to go through my images and change the dimensions on them so that they all match i cant decide from where i want to enlarge the canvas. In mmf 1.5 the image was always enlarged from the center, this i believe is much more useful that always enlarging the image to the right and down. Now i cant match my image sizes without having to move the contents of the images around.

    in any case its annoying.

Hmmm, what program did you use to create your animations? All the ones I use export frames of the same size. (Probably true for the other testers as well, which is why this bug slipped through).

I made an application for MMF 1.5 that would allow individuals to set the hotspot and action point for all animation frames within a CCA. I could try to make a MMF 2.0 version at some point if there is a real need.

I suspected most of you did this, because as I've been nagging about, making your graphics outside of MMF2 and then copying it from the program to the clipboard to MMF2 makes it really hard to set hotspots without the animation preview with the sliderbar from MMF1... <img src="/center/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I was wondering how no testers could have this problem, and I don't want to make my actives be inside giant boxes, bigger than they need to.

    Re: resize & hotspots altering

Konjak, you don't need your actives to remain inside giant boxes. As you guessed, I create most of my animations outside MMF. But instead of using the clipboard, I input them as a numbered sequence of png or bmp files. (SO quick and convenient )

Once inside MMF, I set the hotspot central for all frames. Then I shift crop so that MMF uses only the minimum size necessary for each frame. (So my frames all end up different sizes).

I use the Picture Editor in MMF to do further editing on png files. (eg if I need to split an object in two so that my character can walk in front or behind it.)
