Click & Create application won't open for editing

I want to update an application created with Click & Create and edit it in MMF 1.5 Pro, soon to be MMF2 Developer edition. The fellow I paid to create the original application in 1991 is no longer doing any update work so now I have to do it myself but the file won't open in MMF and appears to be locked. Please advise!

Apparently the application is protected. AFAIK you can't open protected applications. You either need to get the unprotected file from him, or remake it completely. If this isn't possible then you might be out of luck <img src="/center/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />.

CNC and TGF required the .cca/.gam file included with teh executable to run. In order to prevent people from stealing your code, you could prevent the file from being opened again.

Re: Click & Create application won't open for edit

That's what I suspected would be the answer, unfortunately. Can't get the unprotected file any more. Does "remake it completely" mean I have to start from scratch, i.e., work out how to use MMF2 to build the entire program&gt; That's going to be a slow process 'cause I'm just a beginner.
Or is there a way to peek inside the program and "list" the various steps in the program code and then "copy" those to the "new" version and then add the updated changes?
That's probably wishful thinking on my part.
It would have been nice to have been made aware of the protection on the application at the time I had it developed and I then could have paid the extra to have it unprotected when it was delivered to me.
