    Err..Layer bug?

I dont know if this was mentioned somewhere..when I create a layer where is backdrop object and then another layer with an active, when I set (using Layer object) the layer with Backdrop "hide", it pastes into backdrop ONLY when the active doesnt overlapp it. When the active overlapps the backdrop and I press "space" (to run hide the backdrop layer)-it dissappear correctly. I have played with layers only a few minutes so sorry if this isnt bug

Do you have another layer underneath it all? maybe you're hiding the bottom layer, and theres nothing below it to replace the image of the backdrop.
