    MMF2 + PSP9 = WAR!

I was working on a website in PSP9 while i had a window open of MMF2. After doing some work on a game in MMF2 and TAB'ed back to PSP9, resource errors poppedup everywhere, my soundblaster never had produced that much "DING" sounds at a time. Now, since i like both parties i didn't want any to die. But PSP9 could not resist the bruteforce of MMF2... so PSP9 crashed after a series of direct resource hits in the heart.

Paint Shop Pro always does crazy stuff like that. Just get over it.

So use 1 at a time. MMF 2.0 will demand a lot more resources since it is not a "Paint Program"...

You might need to beef up your computer because I can have
3DstudioMax, Adobephotoshop, MMF 2.0, Microsoft Paint,MMF 1.5 pro, Windows Media Player, and Aol, and Internet Explorer 6 all open at the same time.

That's besides the point. If resources collide it's only those two programs. Try running PSP9 with all the stuff you have open and if that is correct, your computer will go down no matter what.

    Re: MMF2 + PSP9 = WAR!

Something I've noticed, the MMF QuickTime object loads tons of DLLs when it's initialized (in both MMF 1.5 and MMF2), they probably use lots of resources and as it's a graphical object, maybe it's the one which is causing problems. If I remember correctly, possible conflicts between MMF and PSP were already reported for MMF 1.

If you never use the QuickTime object, you can remove it from the initialization process : double-click the EXTS.INI file in the MMF2 Extensions folder, locate the kcqtw3.mfx group and replace "cats=Video" by "cats=none". The QuickTime object won't be loaded at start and won't appear anymore in the Insert New object dialog box, but you will still be able to load applications that contain this object (it will be initialized when it'll be loaded).

And that will speed up the MMF2 initialization process...
