    How to recover?

MMF2 Dev has crashed a number of times today without any error message at all... I'm wondering if there is a way to recover what was being worked on? I remember that if TGF closed for some crazy reason without saving, the user would be asked if they would like to recover what was there at the last run.

Also, is there a way to auto save versions when I run the program? =3 For example, I specify a build folder for what I am working on... and in that folder, which would reside below the folder the source file is found in, a backup of whatever is being worked on is saved before running what ever is being worked on... so the source file would be named sourcefile.mfa, and the builds would be created in the folder below the source file in numbered sequence of build... sourcefile_1.mfa... sourcefile_99999.mfa and so on.

    >> MMF2 Dev has crashed a number of times today without any error message at all

Known problems that can cause a crash:

    - Build 239 only: do not run or save the application when the global event editor is open.
    - Build 239/240: do not use the New Window command.
    - Build 239/240: when you select the Replace Object command in the event editor, do not click "Cancel".

If MMF2 Dev crashes for another reason, please report it, thanks!

    >> wondering if there is a way to recover what was being worked on?

    No, that's not possible.

    >> is there a way to auto save versions when I run the program?

No, there is only an Autobackup option in the preferences. It saves backups of the MFA file when you save your application. We could add an "auto-save when running" option, that's a good idea.

    Re: How to recover?

I think the confusion is my mistake because I said to save build backups... when what should have been said is to just allow the user to enable an option which would save versions of the source file before each build.

Or, did you mean something else, Patrick?
