    Re: MMF2 + lens object=Horrible slowdown :(

    Not sure if you have received my e-mail, but on my machine the application runs at the same speed with MMF 1.5 or MMF2, 44 fps.

    Note 1: I had to add counters & events to measure the frame rate, as there was nothing for that in your example, normal? How did you measure the frame rate?

    Note 2: I had a quick look at the source code of the Lens object and I was able to optimise it with some new features of MMF2, so it's now faster in MMF2 than in MMF 1.5 on my machine (48 fps instead of 44). But we can do a lot better with other features of MMF2, so I won't release this version.

    I simply add 1 to counter on Always action and every sec set this counter to 0. It was the same as MMF2 in the debugger as I saw.

    Well, could you send me your application with the counter that displays the frame rate? I.e. the CCA file that you run in both MMF 1.5 and MMF2 (you must run the exact same file, otherwise you can't compare them, as the slowdown could come from another issue...)

    Thanks.

    Re: MMF2 + lens object=Horrible slowdown :(

    OK, thanks. On my machine:

    MMF 1.5 = between 44 and 46 fps
    MMF2 = between 42/43 and 47/48 fps

    It's more stable on MMF 1.5, it often varies between 42 and 48 fps with MMF2, I don't know if there is a reason for that, but anyway you shouldn't get a 30% slowdown, that's weird...

    Unless it's a stratagem to push me to optimize it a lot <img src="/center/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
