Re: Feature request: Revert to original size

The problem with your request is pixels. When you scale an object, all the frames get totally re-sampled. It no longer has the original image data in memory. Even if you make the image the same exact hight and width as it originally was after having scaled it, it would not look the same. Especially if you had shrunk it as it would have been scaled down and lost detail.

It's resampled in the Frame editor? I knew it was resampled in the picture editor... but not the frame editor.

Holy Crap! You're right! I just shrunk the default sprite in the frame editor to 1x1, then back and it kept the detail! Sorry for the false assumption... and there I was, so sure of my self....smug []b@st@rd[/] <img src="/center/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I just did some experimenting and if you rotate and scale an active in the frame editor, you can actually go back and restore its rotation at any time by simply returning the "angle" number to 0 in its properties window. Same with the scale IF you remember the original exact resolution and type it back in to the width and Height. (if this also showed in percent, you could restore it perfectly as you suggested without having to remember the exact dimensions)

Be careful though...when you save the project, and reload it into MMF2, it no longer remembers the original pixel detail, so when you save, that info does not save with it.

Also, if you shrink or scale an active in the frame editor, then make an event to "restore" its original angle and dimension at runtime, it remembers none of the original detail....which all makes sense.

If you import an active, then perfect its size in the frame editor to suite your gameplay, you don't want to be burdened with a bigger file-size from it keeping the higher resolution in the file.
