Number of Directions

Hi all, just trying out the demo of MMF2.
Am I right in thinking that after 12 years (Ive used all the previous Clickteam game software) we STILL only have 32 directions?

Or have I missed something on the new layout?

I hope Ive missed it because that was the ONE feature I wanted MMF2 for...

Well now you have angle controls on an active object so you could rotate it with that, but yes as far as built in animation directions there is only 32.

If you're wondering about how to make 360-degree movements, I could post an example of how to do that in the file uploads section. It's not built into MMF 2, but you can still do it, with the help of a little trig

Re: Number of Directions

Yes, there are only 32 animation directions. There are ways to get around that, though. For example, if you don't want any animation, you could just create 360 frames inside a single direction and set the frame to its angle.
If you did want animation, you could have up to 32 frames of it by using the directions as animation frames. Direction 0 would contain every direction for Frame 0, Direction 1 would contain every direction for Frame 1, etc. Then you could just cycle through the directions, constantly setting the frame to the current angle.

I could make an example for this, if you really want me to
