    Re: MMF for Mac?

I currently use an imac to dual boot between osx and windows. works great. i do a lot of art stuff on the mac side (and test web development stuff), and all my media center development on the pc side. something i would really like to see is vitalize for the mac. now that both platforms use x86 i would think it would be a lot easier. would be a great competitor for flash based games imo.

    Re: MMF for Mac?

The only reason why I would consider to port Multimedia Fusion 2 to the Mac is a very specific gaming market.

Games suited towards women and puzzle games tend to do way better on Macs on a per capita basis vs. the Windows market; because the lack of supply.

With Apple moving towards Intel processors, there shouldn't be a big problem with the assembly used in Multimedia Fusion on a Mac.

You could develop an emulator that unpacks your program or game and automatically runs it, or you could provide instructions for bootloader in your instructions.

    Re: MMF for Mac?

I think the MAC market is very strong for games. There are thousands if not millions of titles on the PC platform that never even get to the MAC.

Mac users are typically very loyal in regards to their platform, and buy shareware a lot more than a PC user on average.

Yes, there is news about the 'native'support for the Mac through the emulation of the windows API's, but again, Mac users respect software that has reached their platform natively and the mac industry often widely spreads that appreciation throughout the mac media.

I like to call myself an unbiased Mac user, even though I've had macs for the last 10 years, I also have a PC and am a big fan of MMF.

There are a lot of excellent MAC only game creation tools available (UNITY comes to mind), but there definately is a market for APPLICATION development for the mac.

There is nothing that is as easy to use as MMF. If it is possible, it should be created. A build for MAC option should be the minnimum expectation here. Even though MMF is very close to my heart it is no exaggeration that you get a certain awe when looking at software that is truly cross-platform. It is the norm for todays industry, and in my opinon Clickteam should follow suit. Even if they have to cut a deal with an external company, its something they really should consider.

The days where MAC, PC, and Linux were worlds away from each other are over.. The market leaders recognise this and are creating universal apps to win over the entire market.

Just an opinion from an 'unbiased' mac user! <img src="/center/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> lol , well, as unbiased as they come!

yeah the closest thing on the mac is real basic

No where near as easy as MMF though. I think if MMF could target the three main platforms it would really gain a lot of ground.
