Why would clickteam care about getting the Microsoft seal of approval? It's not really going to get them anywhere.

Sounds to me like you don't trust Clickteam, but thats just me. No offense, Clickteam is a small company, there is nothing not to trust about it though. ;-)
Very few programs are actually certified by Microsoft as far as I know. It's no different in my eyes, then a game that says "nVidia Recommended" or "Pentium 4 Recommended" just as a way to earn cash adverstising in a unique way.
