    Isometric Quick backdrop?

Quick Backdrop is very useful for 2D games and it saves a lot of memory instead of placing tiles.

I would like to know what about Isometric Quick Backdrop? It would not be too hard to make I guess, just enter number of columns and rows and MMF2 would place tiles automatically. I dont know if will be possible to that "dragable" (resizable?) but it will be definitely amazing feature..everyone who has made isometric game would agree surely that placing tiles manually is terrible work and the loading time is also bad since there are hundreds objects..(rather much more-I have about 16K duplicates at all, however they are small so the loading takes about 3 secs).

    Re: Isometric Quick backdrop?

I've never had a problem using a quick backdrop for an isometric game. What you have to do is lay down a few of your iso backdrop tiles, then make a rectangular image of this tiled backdrop, and paste that into your Quick Backdrop, so that it tesselates ("tiles").
(I hope that addresses your problem.)

Yes but the rest (borders) you have to do manually, put the tiles diagonally. I guess MMF2 should do that automatically as Quick bacdrop does with rectangular tiles.

In theory, even that would work with rectangular backdrops. Just make sure to use "fine detection". Admittedly it's not the simplest solution in the world, but it's not that hard either...

    I see what you say. Maybe when I'll be a friend of the MMF2 SDK I'll do that. <img src="/center/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
