Re: Overlay: selection by colour and more

Yeah, i know that Overlay was never made for the stuff it is used now. Nevertheless amazing how it has grown. And for what it is used now. At this place a big THANKS to all involved that it is even there. A big THANKS to all extension developers anyway

As my little example shows it is never impossible to achieve the needed result. It´s just a bit trickier. I had to think twice before i had the simple solution to soften the pic with Image Manipulator

Sarah, yes, i know. Now with the power of MMF2. And even earlier with the Alphachannel Object. But i have this much users that still uses MMF 1.5 or even another gamemaking software/language. And so not everybody can use that feature. Would be a bad idea to upload alphachanneled pics now. My fans have pointed me to that more than one time, being in fear about it. I better listen to them

There is also another benefit from not using alphachanneled pictures. Performance. Even in MMF 2. A simple bitmap is always faster to handle than an alphachanneled one

Cragmyre/Matt/Andos should add Add/Subtract ink effects to Overlay Redux!! That would be awesome!!!

    ...Please?

Not me. I'm content with having the Overlay be a color map. Of course, I have my successors
