    How to control tab order

I have a form with several edit and combo objects. How do you control tabbing order. I see a number in a blue square but see no way to change it if this effects the tabbing order.

You can change the order of the objects with the Order menu (in the popup menu or in the Arrange menu). For example if you have several edit boxes vertically, select them and click the Order / By Y / Increasing command.

Re: How to control tab order

Well i tryed this. I have 7 edit objects in a vertical column then a combo box and then another edit object below that. Current the little blue number squares start at 44,45, 46 47, 48, 49, 50, then the combo box is number 63 and the last edit box below the combox box is 51.

If I start in 44 and tab I move to 45 then 46 ect... until I get to edit object number 50. Now I tab and want to move to the combo box number 63 BUT it jumps over the combo box to edit box number 51 and then jumps up to 63.

I selected all of the objects and tried the order/by y/increasing but it did not change the combo box number to 51 and the edit box below it to 52.

I don't see your application, so I don't know what's wrong, but you can use several Order / Backward one commands to reduce the z-order index of the combo box object until it reaches 51.

Re: How to control tab order

OK that changes the tab order. However, it take forever to keep using order/backward one, order/backward one... etc.. Then you have to go the next object and order/backward one, order/backward one... etc..

It would be much better if the value could be typed in the property box. That would save a lot of time. Or if you could select a menu option that would then let you click on the first object, then the next, then the next, until you have selected the objects in order of how the tabbing will occur and then z values would be changed automatically to match.

Also, the tabbing aborts as soon as you hit a combo box.
    For example,
Create form with edit objects and combo object shown.
    Run application
Click on first edit object so it has focus.
Now tab to next edit object. - fine
Now tab to next edit object. - fine
Now tab to combo object. - fine
Now tab to nect edit object - NO GO BEEP BEEP....

How can I add a graphic picture to a post so you could see
    what I talking about????
