    Object trails...

    Hi.

Is there a reliable way to make an object 'trail'? Kind of like the way the mouse does on the properties, but with a fade out, to make a kind of bluring trail effect. I don't want to make multiple objects, this is going to take CPU. is there an object that can apply this effect on to any object? with properties of course. It would also have to be able to apply to multiple objects, not just one. Any help would be great thanks!

The only known way I can think of, and I believe this is the only way (but correct me if I'm wrong) is to use multiable objects, each with a fade out, or you could rapidly crank the invisablity up to 128 and destroy the object. I don't have any CPU issues when I do this in my games, never did. Even back when I was using an old Celeron. So I think that if anyone has issues with this method, it's time to upgrade hardware, or just not play the game.

As long as you're working with small objects and don't create to many you don't have to worry about CPU..
