Click-and-drag to place objects, my qualm...

Probably the thing I miss most about CNC is that instead of "dragging" objects from the object bar to the frame, clicking once would "stick" the object to your mouse. Once it was attached to your mouse, you could right click to place the object without "letting go" of it. This worked GREAT in conjunction with the "snap-to" grid for designing tile-based levels.

Is there some way to do this in MMF2?

It isn't quite the same but you can do this:

When you drag an object from / to the same Frame editor, the object is moved. If you press CTRL while releasing the mouse button, the object is duplicated, i.e. a new occurrence of the same object is created. Note: when you drag an object, the mouse cursor contains a '+' when the object is going to be duplicated, otherwise it's going to be moved.

So - keep your finger on the CTRL button after you've placed the first object and you can just keep dragging and clicking from the last duplicate you created. You don't have to move the mouse back to the object bar.

Yes, that method replicates it pretty well.
