    Losing header bug?

If you have checked the "Heading" and "Allow user to switch to/from fullscreen" options in the application properties, when you run the program and switch from window mode to fullscreen mode then switch back again you lose the Heading and frame boarder.

Is this right? Can any one confirm it?

    Thanks.

    Re: Losing header bug?

It was a bit tricky to reproduce:
    1. Maximize the window
    2. Press alt+enter
    3. Press alt+enter (note how the window now has a "restore" button instead of "maximize" button, even though it is in the restored state)
    4. Press alt+enter
    5. Press alt+enter for a final time

I assume the problem is at step 3, when it returns to a restored state instead of a maximized state but doesn't quite realise it. The problem is fixed by the user doing a "restore" after step 5.

    Re: Losing header bug?

I'm not using the Hot keys or menu.

I've deleted the menu setting, because i'm not using it and i don't want people to use those key shortcuts with my game, so the hot keys are gone.

Instead i start the game off in a window mode with heading checked and allow user to switch beteween window/fullscreen.
    Thats all.

Theres a button in my game so when you click it the game goes from window to fullscreen. When you click it again it goes back to window mode.

I'm talking about going from window mode to fullscreen change resolution, then back again, not maximizing.

Well, maximizing was the way that I found something that resembled your bug. If you did this a different way then please e-mail a bare-bones example to []joshtek@yahoo.com[/] and I'll post it in this thread.

    Re: Losing header bug?

Okay i know what the bug is now.

If you use the default menu and select fullscreen from there to go from window to fullscreen, then once fullscreen choose it again from the menu then its works normally.

If you don't use the menu but just go full screen from the event editor and back again it looses the heading and boarder.

So it seems to be when you go to and from fullscreen/window mode through events.

    Re: Losing header bug?

Hopefully this will be fixed soon but in the mean time I use this little trick to make things work: Add "Show menu bar" and "Hide menu bar" on the event line that switches back to Windowed Mode. I guess the show menu function forces the re-initialization of the window frame and hide will remove it before the user sees it. Not sure if this will work for everyone.

I too have had trouble with this bug, since fullscreen mode is toggeled from the event editor (the game will not have a menu bar). I'll wait for it to get fixed.

    Re: Losing header bug?

I found that you can work around this problem by using the window object.

Still I hope it gets fixed in the next patch too.
