    Anti-aliasing

Does it affect performance on slower computers or not? There are a maximum of 15 16x16 pixel objects i would like to use anti-aliasing on, but i have no access to a slower computer so i can't really test if it still runs smoothly on that. Any help?

AA will affect slower computers, it's just a fact. It's possible that a good GFX card will pick up the slack if you use DX draw.

    Re: Anti-aliasing

Giving the sprite an alphachannel and have manual antialiasing that way would actually be faster than the Anti Aliasting option in MMF2. Yves said he would improve the speed of in the future, but so far a small image like that with an alphachannel wouldn't hurt a bit performance-wise.

yes, anti-aliasing sucks man. 15 16x16 objects might be ok on a fast computer though, maybe... but it wouldn't be so good on a slow computer at all. If i were you, i'd just use the alpha channel system around the edges of the objects to simulate the anti aliasing.
