Global value not affected by sub-app from same app

I have included a sub-app in my application ('source: frame from this application').
I thought, since the sub-app is in fact the same application (only a different frame),
I could make an event IN THE SUB-APP to change a global value IN THE MAIN APP.
But it doesn't work. Is it supposed to be like this? Can sub-apps communicate with
    the main app without GFO?

Go to the properties of the sub-app and check the "Share Global Value and Global String" options. <img src="/center/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

The Associative Array object can also share data across sub-apps.

Hi!, I'm a time traveler, I'm from the future.

I was just looking for this information:

Properties Sub-Aplication, Share with parent application:
    Global values & strings
    Lives
    Scores
    Players Control

    Sub Application Example
    http://www.castles-of-britain.com/subappexample.mfa

    Description:
This is a sub-application example that is easy to impliment and has a small foot print.
    Instructions:
Push space to make the sub-application visible. While the sub-application is showing, press space to close it.

    MetalGeo thanks for the contribution!
