    A question regarding layers...

    Say I have 9 layers.

Anything in layer 9 should be in front of layer 7, correct?

I have a list object that should not follow the frame, in layer 9, and I cannot see if when I start the frame, because there is a layer 7 background object blocking it. But if I stick it in layer 6, I can see it...

    Any thoughts?

    Re: A question regarding layers...

Windows Controls are controlled by Windows. Alas, Windows was not built with MMF2 in mind and therefore that stuff appears in front of everything else.

However, within the Windows Controls "layer" there seems to be a bug which means that the order is not correct. By the look of it, the order of controls is when executing is the opposite of what it is in editing. Hopefully Yves or Francois can fix this.

Is there any way to set a listbox it so it will always be in front of everything else?(even other list boxes...?)

    edit: Ahh, I see the "Order" menu thingie... <img src="/center/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

On the topic of layers...does having lots of Layers slow the application down? If you had 50 layers for example, but they only had background objects on them, would that be a bad idea??

    I agree!

Nine layers? [:"purple"]FIFTY LAYERS??![/] I do agree, that would slow things down a great lot, and might even cause a player with a weaker computer to have a major system meltdown. I've noticed that most GameBoy Advance stuff has only two layers, and stuff for the various versions of Sony PlayStation might have three or four, and you can really feel a presence in those worlds with only two to four layers. Anything else, is redundant padding....
