    360 degree pathfinding

    I have a game where you shoot the badguys and the badguys come after you. Only problem is that there are buildings in the way and naturally the bad guys try to go straight through them. How would I have them make a path around the building?

    I think pathfinding would be overkill for this application.

    You need to make a line of sight engine, which detects whether the enemy can see the player or not by sending a "sight" object towards the player. Then you can move the enemy towards the position that he saw the player last, so he won't try to walk through walls. This method is explained in this article if you need more detail:
