Simple question about edit box

I've noticed that when an edit box is dehighlighted, it becomes gray.
So I set an event to
If Negate "have input focus" then set text color to some kind of green. The problem is that is doesn't seem to work. Please don't tell me that I can't change that gray color when editbox is disabled <img src="/center/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

I don't think you can do this with the Edit object, but you can with the Rich Edit.

Remember the edit box has the ability to make it read only.
When its made read only you can still change the colour.

You mean, if the edit object doesn't has input focus? I placed a condition "If object doesn't has input focus" change the text inside edit object to red, but it still remains gray. How can I change it to another color?

I think that what Joe said should work : just use the Read Only option (or action) instead of the Disable option.

But in this case the "text cursor" will appear every time it' over the editbox, is this correct?
