The blue screen of death!

Hi,

I just had the blue screen of death with MMF2! I think it is something to do with the MMF2 sound system, as that was the bit of my game that I had just made changes to before the crash. Also when I got feedback from the error report, it said it was probably something to do with my soundcard. So maybe there is a problem with MMF2 and my sound card.

I have a SoundBlaster Audigy soundcard, and my system is running winXP.

Hope this can be fixed, until then, owners of SB Audigies beware!

Try to repeat your action and see if you get the Blue Screen of Death again, just to be sure.

No it won't be something that Clickteam can do something about, you'll find it has to do with your hardware. If MMF crashes the hardware then other applications will do the same, you just haven't noticed it yet. MMF doesn't write directly to the sound card it writes to drivers. You'll need to check that you have the correct and lastest drivers set up on your system.

What version OS and what sound card are you using?

I'm almost positive that this is because of MMF2's currently unstable OGG music support. Shoot, I need to inform Yves about this but I keep forgetting to.

It might be the OGG support (are you using them?), but it really could be any number of things - one of the two times my computer has bluescreened, it was complaining about the USB devices when my wife opened the DVD drive.
