    Rotation Action Point Bug!

Hey, when you rotate things, there's a one frame delay for uptating action points! This gets pretty bad when you rotate things fast. No, it has nothing to do with the order of rotation or setting objects to the action point.

Here's an example file set to 10fps so it's easy to see:

    Re: Rotation Action Point Bug!

The active should be on top of the pointer tip right?

If so, then this is a bug in the Runtime. Its been around the for a long time.
I've pleaded with Clickteam to change the runtime to fix this bug, but they won't at this stage.
    Sorry.

Here is a wiki link about the issue.

Joewski, you would be happy to know that the lag bug has been corrected in V242 : now when you link an object to another one with a set position action, the objects are perfectly synchronised!

    Indeed. Lots &amp; lots of thanks for that <img src="/center/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Looked so odd to have the character's head trail behind..

    Re: Rotation Action Point Bug!

    Hmmm,

    MMF2 Developer R242v3 just downloaded
    Windows XP lastest updates.
    Above Example.
    P3 800Mhz

Active Still lags pointer! The active should be on top of the pointer not lagging behind at 10fps.

The problem is improved however if the frame rate is increased to 100fps and the always is replaced by a every 1 second. It then becomes an optical illusion then.

However when I added a 8 direction movement to the pointer, I noticed the diamond active lagging and slipping its correct position. Its not as pronounced but its still noticeable.

Sorry, I can't say its fixed yet but it is an improvement.

    Re: Rotation Action Point Bug!

I have the newest version. It still clearly lags for one frame. Now when I use inverse kinematic animation, things will look detatched.
