    Erasing layers

    Hi,

I faced quite a big issue when i was working with a multilayered RPG editor that i wrote.
I have about 5 layers and on each layer i draw differend backdrops.

    Layer1 - grass
    Layer2 - carpet
    Layer3 - table
    Layer4 - plate
    Layer5 - food

Now, in order to seperate the layers for the users eye i darken (when working on layer 4)the layers 1-3. Layer 5 i don't draw at all. (unless layer transparancy is supported in MMF2 in the future. cause i could then make it 50% visable)

Ok, the problem im facing is that when i want to remove backdrops on layer 4, that is not possible.

The backdrops remain on their layers and cannot be removed.
MMF2 should have an "erase zone" feature.
Im almost 100% sure this can be done because the layers start off transperant. The "erase zone" feature should restore that zone back to that transperancy.

Talking about transperancy, it would be AWESOME ander VERY HANDY to have "layer transperancy", but that is not a must a.t.m.

Yves, can you please add this in the next update? The whole development of Fantasaar depends on it.

A "Clear added backdrops" action is in the wish list but I don't know in which build it'll be implemented.

Yves, please no "Clear added backdrops" :P that sounds like it will erase the whole layer. "Erase zone" would be much better!

Indeed. Erase zone would be good, as would the ability to set the transparancy of a pixel/zone (or paste an alpha channel).

    Re: Erasing layers

    Nice idea Patrick,

Over at the Wiki I've added your request.
    http://www.clickwiki.info/index.php/...ure_request%29

Also over at the Wiki there is a feature suggestions and request section here.
    http://www.clickwiki.info/index.php/...ature_Request.

I encourage people with ideas to post to the wiki their ideas.

By posting to the Wiki I believe it will give Clickteam and users a clearer picture of what each section of MMF needs. It will also give users an idea whats on the wish list.

There is also an extension request page featuring 106 ideas for extensions to date.
