ActiveX Action/Condition/Expr? How does it work?

    Hello!

I have some doubts about this expression of the ActiveX object. I've tried to use it but I didn't get any result.

    The main question is:

When an ActiveX control has a method that returns a string when it is invoked, how can I get that string? If I call this method like it was a MMF 'Action', it executes that action, but I need the value that is returned by the method.

Maybe this expression 'Action/Cond/Expr' is what I need to use? If is it, how does it work? I don't understand well the parameters that I have to write.

Thank you in advance. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Re: ActiveX Action/Condition/Expr? How does it wor

AN ACTIVE X usually has 2 actions ''folders'':

The first is for specific actions and the second are general ones like ''visible'' & ''invisible''

When recieving conditions use the ''Compare 2 general values'' condition

Re: ActiveX Action/Condition/Expr? How does it wor

'Compare two values' can be used with the properties of the ActiveX object, but not with the variables that are returned by a method when it's invoked. The value I need does not exist in the 'Custom Expressions' folder, only appears as a value returned when a particular 'action' is invoked. This value is easy to capture when working in VisualBasic or other framework that works with ActiveX, but I don't know how to do it in MMF2.

    Any suggestion? Thanks!
