newbie need advice

Hi to all... I hope I am not posting in the wrong section. If so, I hope moderator can move my post to the right section and not ban me..

I have tried the demo of TGF2 and MMF2 and surely I love it to buy one.

But I need some advice here before I buy one. I came from Indonesia and for me, purchase and spent much money for this program is made me a lot of thinking. I don't have a good basic of programming skill except Delphi, but I always think to create my own game and share it with anyone.

All I need is one powerfull game creator that can handle my need to create free games to share but I don't need to powerfull that can create a game like doom, quake or syberia. I just want to create a small game that people can play during their break time or when boring with their job.

So can anyone here give me some advice should I buy TGF2 or MMF2 ? but absolutely not MM2dev because is far to expensive for me and besides is oke for me if my games has clickteam logo in it and my games no need any trial version (is free)..

I have read in the clickteam site about the difference but still can't make the decision.

thanks everyone.

As you'll have noticed from the demo, the two products really are very similar. The main difference is that TGF2 doesn't support third-party extensions, which limits its functionality to some extent. You will also have a splash screen at the end of any compiled games.

The Games Factory 2 is meant as an introduction to the software, for people who want to get a feel for it and to allow the making of simple games. If you're more serious about having a powerful game/application creator, MMF2 is the one to choose.

Based on your description, I'm tempted to say that TGF2 is the one you should go for, although I'd normally recommend MMF2 above it.

thanks.. I have see your game. Is that created with MMF2 ??

well, I don't think, I need the 3rd party program. As long as the creator can handle avi, midi, wav, gif, bmp and other windows standart, is oke.
But from what I see in this forum, it looks like the MMF2 have more power with additional pack and extension than the TGF2.

The price speaks for TGF but I recommend MMF due to all those (VERY HELPFUL) extensions.
They will ease your way to a finnished game.

yeah.. is true.... with this MMF2 demo, I try to create simple game like pacman and still stuck with the creation of random path for enemy character.

Hemm... maybe I will save my money and buy the MMF2 instead. Is that too late if I buy around november ??..

I would highly recommend MMF2. If you brought TGF2 and you suddenly decided to make a game which needs alot of power, you will have wished you brought MMF2 instead.
